Four fragments of wood, two tiny and undiagnostic; two treenails. Both treenails are pegged at planking's exterior face, pegs square in section. 1. Treenail has nail hole in peg (square in section), from sheathing nail. 2. Treenail peg tapers to a point.

Vergulde Draeck (Gilt Dragon)

The Vergulde Draeck (Gilt Dragon) sailed from Texel bound for Batavia (Jakarta), under Pieter Albertsz carrying trade goods and eight chests of silver to the value of 78,6000 guilders. On 28 April 1656 the Vergulde Draeck was wrecked just south of Ledge Point. 75 of the 193 made it to shore.
