Katana signed Tada Yoshi. Red/Gold lacquer over wood scabbard,long Katana blade.

Type: HANDACHI
Saya: red gold lacquer over wood, decorated with silver leaf circles in the shape of the mon of the Ina or Izeki family. Top of scabbard of blue/brown brocade bound with brown thread. Ishi dzuki, shibabiki, ashi of brass nanako background.
Tsuka: white same bound with brown thread
Fuchi/kabuto gane: en suite with scabbard
Tsuka ai: gold dragons
Tsuba: hollyhock aoi-gata shape, in gilded brass en suite with other fittings. Dimensions: 8.5 x 9.4 x 0.4 cm

Overall length: 100.4 cm

Sheath- dark gold lacquer with family emblem, section covered with tape binding.
Hilt; brown silk binding over good quality ray skin. Gilt dragon menuki, gilt brass or copper Tsuba, Fuchi, Kashira. Hilt fittings and binding ensuite with scabbard. of a set design worn at court. Mid/late edo period 1600-1867.
tip[boshi]/midare komi komaru with hakikake & tobiyaki; return[kaeri]/itame, masame.
Tang/UBU [possibly machi okuri]; shape/kirijiri; curviture/slight; Filemarks/sujikai; back[mune]/slightlu maru; hole/two, signature[mei] Katana mei: Hizen Kuni Tada Yoshi
