Marks; Butt RHS on disc 'L/ 9120'. In a circle 'crown/RM/Enfield/arrow/WD/I./1.
On butt socket LHS ' Crown/VR/Enfield/1896/Lec/1'.
Breech RHS '3450'.
Bore/rifled, barrel shape/round, calibre/ .303, charge/CN/cordite, ignition/centre fire, action/bolt/repeater, foresight/barleycorn, rearsight/folding leaf. Bridge sight to 2000 yards.
Also described as having crown over VR stamped on the trigger guard band
