Wide bowl with pronounced foot. Inside bowl painted with sprigs of coloured flowers with band of gilt foliage on edge. Outside decorated with moulded and raised gilt flowers and foliage on pale blue ground. No marks. Christies catalogue 16 Aug. 1979 number 212 attribute to Copeland. Copeland succeeded the Copeland and Garrett partnership in 1847. Ref: Godden British Porcelain page 177.
