CUP AND SAUCER

White body with clear glaze. 12 faceted cup and fluted saucer. Typical angular shaped handle. Outside of cup divided into panels each decorated with small sprig of gilt foliage. Inside of cup and saucer painted with scattered sprays of flowers within pale green-grey and gilt foliate borders. Painted mark in purple on base on both: Crown over 'DAVENPORT \ LONGPORT \ STAFFORDSHIRE'. Gilt pattern number 874. Re Godden Pottery and Porcelain Marks page 191, number 1194.
