White body with clear glaze. Wide, footed cup. Scalloped edge on both. Inside of cup and saucer painted with grey gilt-edged foliage and berries. Outside of cup decorated with 3 sprigs of gilt foliage. Painted 'griffin' mark in puce on base of saucer. Griffin over 'Rockingham Works/ Brameld/ Manufacturer to the King.' plus pattern No '1224' in red. Only pattern number on cup.
