Oval earthenware dish lid; cream with black transfer painted orange at rim, two pink roses and bud, and three orange flowers with green centres; geometric diaper borders at rim; solid handles with gold decoration. Copelan transfer : "W.T. COPELAND & SONS" encircling crown; "STOKE UPON TRENT" in ribbon; stamped "COPELAND / R / 2" and diamond shaped stamp with "R"; red writing : "2 / 1903 / ]". Diamond registration mark : 30th July poss 1882.
