Two brown transfer printed plates, white ground. Bamboo and flowers with rectangular vignette of a country cottage, circular vignette of deer in a park with manor house in distance, diamond vignette of bird. Marks: brown transfer: crown over shield with "J.H. DAVIS" on the diagonal and "CHATSWORTH" in a band underneath. This mark appears in Godden, no. 1204a, printed mark, c. 1881-1891. Below this is a lozenge Design Registration Mark for February 1883. Christie's Catalogue CEU 1608 No. 144.
