Silver coloured medal, the obverse bears the King's head with the usual legend and the reverse, the Australian coat of arms with the words "THE AUSTRALIA SERVICE MEDAL 1939-45". The dark blue of the ribbon represents the Navy; the khaki, the Army; the pale blue the Air Force and the red,the Mercantile Marine. Around the rim is engraved "7618.A.A.WILKINSON". Associated with W86.36.
