MEDAL, Long Service and Good Conduct (Navy)

Silver and copper coloured medal bearing the head of King George VI with the wording "GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP". There is a sailing ship on the reverse within a knotted cord border and around the circumference the words "FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT". Inscribed on the rim is "448 C.P.O. INSTR. A.A.WILKINSON R.A.N.". The ribbon is dark blue with a band of white at each side. The medal was first established in 1831 and would have been issued to Wilkinson after the Second World War. Associated with W86.36.
