BADGES, cap & collar, 6th Hauraki regiment

One large, two smaller, brass/metal, stylised star and banner design, 6th Hauraki, New Zealand Army cap and collar badges.
1. Large cap badge: stylised eight-point star with central male lion in relief, surrounded by circular border of words; ‘HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE’. Smaller banner beneath field, reads ‘KIA KAHA’, with larger banner at bottom reads ‘HAURAKI’. Maker’s mark on reverse, in centre of large central banner; ‘J.R. GAUNT/ LONDON’. Two raised secures at side points of star, on reverse.
2. Smaller collar badge: mirrors star design of cap badge, without ‘HAURAKI’ banner. Main banner reads ‘KIA KAHA’. Reverse: hollow imprint of front design, with two raised secures at side points of star.
3. Identical to part 2, but metal blackened/tarnished. Reverse: polished brass.
