RAILWAY CURVES, boxed set of 90 wooden templates, P.W.D.

BASE; Rectangular varnished wood base with flat bottom and lap joins to corners fixed together with flat head nails and possibly adhesive(?). Base divided into two sections with wood panel along the length. Two indentations with holes to top section of one panel, possibly where once two hinges adhered a lid to the base. Semi-circular groove with hole to front section of one panel where possibly a latch adhered the lid to the base. Remnants of adhesive tape running from back panel to underneath base. Handwritten in red ink to outside of one panel; '9th FLOOR DS9'.

CURVES; 90 wood curves, uniform thicknesss, various lengths, smooth edges from use(?), contained within the two sections of the base. All curves are impressed with numbers ranging from '4' to '240', including some half sizes (the numbers relate to the imperical measurement of the radius). Some curves impressed; '[arrow north symbol]/PWD/WA'. Some curves stamped in ink; '1'. One curve impressed; 'STANLEY LONDON'.
