Education Department, Punishment Book. The black front cover has a label : EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, WESTERN AUSTRALIA/PUNISHMENT BOOK/Geraldton MT Government School. On the inside cover there are 10 regulations for Corporal Punishment. Rule No 8 states 'The 'boxing' of children's ears is strictly forbidden, as is also the Corporal Punishment of girls of /twelve years of age and over.' The first entry in the book is dated 17.7.1914. The last pen entry is dated July 10/1944, followed by a pencil entry 18.10.83
