grey cardboard covered letter book with red cloth spine. 'THE / IMPERIAL / LETTER BOOK / DUPLICATES FROM PEN OR PENCIL / FOR ORDERS, LETTERS. ETC.' printed on cover. 'S L DUNCAN (underlined) / PERSONAL / CORRESPONDENCE' handwritten in blue pencil, faded, on cover. First page is lined back and front with single red vertical line down centre of each page, these pages list the date and addressee of letters contained in the book. Remainder are the copy pages of original letters dating from 4 May 1937 - 1 January 1952. The majority are signed by S.L. Duncan. Several signed by his wife Grace M. Duncan.
