TABLECLOTH, embroidered

H2002.25

White cotton rectangular tablecloth with thick blue cotton border stitched around edge. Embroidered in centre of tablecloth is simplified version of Australian flag and Union Jack , with the poles of the flags crossing. Above the crossing point "1948/1958" embroidered in green and red with small flowers embroidered around the numbers. Below the crossing point embroidered in green, cream, purple and yellow are the letters "FEL". In the lower third of the tablecloth the names of the members of the Fremantle English League are embroidered in different colours. In the left hand side of the tablecloth the names of the life members are embroidered in blue, beneath a read heading "LIFE MEMBERS" with red and white flowers and green leaves above the heading.
