Print of "The Wishing Moon" watercolour by O. Brock covers first half of calendar. A description of the painting is attached to the top-left rim of the calendar. The painting is of a 'beautiful young belle' dressed in rich yellow sitting on the balcony 'paying tribute' to the moon. Background of picture is of a night river bank scene. Picture is bordered by olive green against the white background of the calendar. Below picture printed in dark olive green - 'With compliments from/ Phone 97 Cott./ J.E. HOLBROOK/ Grocer and Provision Merchant/ Cr. Devon & Shenton Rds,/ SWANBOURNE/ 1924.'
Calendar proper of 1924 is placed in lower bottom section, bordered and against a light olive green background. Marked 'ES Wigg & Son Ltd., Perth' in minute print along bottom. Calendar is held together by metal edging along top and bottom and has ribbon for hanging.
