POSY, Banknotes
H1994.178
Posy made of folded Australian $1 banknotes. All banknotes are new with sequential serial numbers (it appears) starting with 'BZP' prefix. Interspersed with the banknote flowers are pale yellow and dark yellow silk? flowers and pale yellow ribbons. The stems of these 'flowers' are gathered underneath to form a handle. Separating the handle and flowers is a circular collar made of a flower designed paper doilly or cake stand paper with red cellophane backing which show in contrast through the holes in the openwork floral design of the doilly. The handle is decorated with green ribbons, which hang down from behind the posy as a decoration.
