ALBUM, "Women of the Guilds 1909-"

Large purple album with title impressed in gold "WOMEN/OF THE/GUILDS/1909-". A purple and yellow satin rosette with four purple ribbons and four yellow ribbons extending from centre, is attached to upper left hand corner of front cover. Album contains photographs of members, and typewritten biographical details of members, on white album pages.. Calligraphied in front page in black ink with a red border " "The hard won victories in Women's/ Rights should strengthen our/ determination to continue on/ the broader front of Human Rights"/B.M. RISCHBIETH." Various loose newspaper clippings, photos and papers throughout album. Contains details from 1920s up to 1970s.

Inside book is purple satin bookmark with brown satin backing and gold fringe at top and bottom. There is a pale purple and darker purple flower appliqued onto bookmark, at top and at bottom. Possibly metal discs inside bookmark to weigh it down.

There is a spare satin rosette.
