'As the Ivy clingeth/ to the wall./ So does my heart for ever cling/ to thee.
My own fond love,______________(cross, cross, cross etc)
How can I express my hearts full wish, when my present state of/ health is all that I feel with./ Competent to cope with God's strength he's supplied me./ And ready ever to do his bidding for which he designed me-/ Part of my career has been one of corrupt nature./ But God has promised his blessing to both of his children/ finally to place your hand in mine in holy solemnity of/ matrimony./ And finally, when we have finished the duties alloted (sic)/ to us both as God's children, his promise to me & yourself will/ be glad tidings of joy and felicity/ at having found in us both material, to according the/ merit he has endowed us with./ God Blessing by your port-/ ion/ Until I am pardoned &/ released./ George.
