Belonged to Susanna Fauntleroy. White ground, purple, orange, blue, green & grey floral decoration. Gilding around rims & handle. Saucer quite deep. For shapes see data sheet. Marks: a - cup: blue underglaze (blurred) "[sketch of mark] & impressed: "D154" - printed. b - saucer: crossed swords of the Meissen factory. Cancellation marks through the factory mark indicate that the item was sold either in the white or as an imperfect specimen (in this case probably in the white) about 1760.
