BOWL, hand painted, Taou-Kwong period

"Enamelled in crimson, blue, yellow & red, with groups of children playing, blue scroll border. Taou-Kwang period." Sides: two sets of peonies in blue frame and two sets of four characters in blue frames, multicoloured. Insi blue diaper border at top & peony & yellow flower in centre of bowl. Ann Roberts: A 'famille-rose' Bowl decorated with figure scenes, interspersed with floral sprays, within underglaze-blue foliate borders.
