"Rose Verte Dish. Chien Lung 1736-95 (period of "Famille Rose")....Two figures inside house and one in garden. Night time is indicated by the conjunction of moon & stars. Floral border with symbols of fish within five Joo-e panels. Exhibited Nottingham Castle." Figures (one male, one female) in house seen through round window by figure (female) in garden. Label on base: "MIDLAND COUNTIES ART \ MUSEUM \ NOTTINGHAM CASTLE \ -:o:- \ Miss Brownswood." Ann Roberts: A 'famille-rose' saucer dish, well painted in a 'rose- verte' palette with a maiden standing on a pavilion terrace watching an amorous coupl at a nearby window, with ornamental rocks and palms to one side, the rim encircled with a border of fish vignettes on a seeded green ground reserved wi peony sprigs., Yongzheng.
