MEDAL RIBBONS -3-

W1983.30

Three medals ribbons sewn together for wearing on a uniform. Home-made, stitched fairly crudely with black thread. They are identified as follows, left to right: The Military Cross and Bar, denoted by the silver rose worn in the centre of the ribbon; the British War Medal, 1914 to 1920; and the Victory medal. The British War Medal ribbon is lined with a firm backing - probably cardboard. See File 144/71 for biographical details.
