Back \ in the Exhibition Buildin Melbourne on Thursday, 9th May, 1901, to witness \ the Opening of the Parliame of the Commonwealth. \ Edmund Barton, \ Prime Minister" Picture of the "young Queen" - i.e. the Commonwealth of Australia, bowing on her steed, before " Britannia" and verse from Kipling's "Commonwealth Ode". E.G. Back is son of Mr E. & Mrs P.S. Back. See T80/185 & T80/186.
