Circular, brown leather collar box embossed with the intiials 'RPB', for Robert Paton Baird. The lid is crossed by a leather strap which fits through a leather loop and through a metal buckle fitting attached to base. Inside has red leather lining and a circular oval blue manufacturer's label affixed to centre inside lid with copper toned border and printing 'HARRIS SCARFE & SANDOVERS LTD./High Class Travelling Goods/Trunks,/Suit & Attache Cases Etc./HAY ST. PERTH W.A.'
Lined with circle of doubled up newspaper, discoloured and dating to pre decimal currency as per price listings on newsprint. Inside red leather lining of base is also discoloured. A fabric repai is evident to the inside and outside edges of base near lid attachment.
