CAPE, Velvet, black, with ribbon scrollwork

Black velvet woman's shoulder cape with brown cotton? lining, with collar and brown ribbon scrollwork covering the shoulders, collar and back. Black silk sateen ribbon with bow and four black-painted metal hook and eye fastenings at front of neck, however ribbon frayed and completely detached from front left side. A small piece of this detached ribbon remains. Stitching to inside back of collar has separated and reveals the stiffening inside the collar (of coarse hessian appearance) there is a small detached remnant of the stiffening.
