PLATE: with scalloped edge and raised curlicue pattern around edge. Hand painted on white porcelain a selection of Western Australian wildflowers including Kangaroo Paw, Leschenaultia, red flowering gum, spider orchids, boronia, wattle, Geraldton wax. Edge painted in gold. the back of the plate is white and within the foot 'Wildflowers of W.A./hand painted by/ E. Lakides/Perth' is hpainted in mauve. Stamped, slightly off centre with stylised green wreath maker's mark 'EST/1796/COLLINGWOODS/BONE CHINA/ENGLAND'. This printed mark dates the china to the 1937-1957 period.
