Two Royal Worcester porcelain hand painted and gilded plates, by Helen Creeth.
[.1] plate, grevilleas; Scalloped edged plate with broad, gold painted edge, a pale yellow fading to pink centre. Red grevillea with leaves painted on each side within gold border. 'M Creeth' painted in green near leaves. 'Grevillea Wilsoni/ Western Australia' hand painted on back of plate in green. 'SUPPLIED BY/DYNON SON & CO/SYDNEY/ MELBOURNE/ Royal Worcester' and trademark stamped on back. 'WELD CLUB PERTH' painted over in black to obscure writing. 'W 1221' in small print, painted in red. Outer edge on back of plate painted pale green to the edge of a narrow foot.
[.2] plate, orchids; Scalloped edged plate with broad, gold painted edge, a pale yellow fading to pink centre. Green spider orchids and scented orchids with leaves painted within gold border. 'M Creeth' handpainted in green alongside leaves 'Caladenia dilatata/ "Green Spider Orchid"/ Thelymitra anlennifera/ "Scented Orchid"/ Western Australia' hand painted on back of plate in green. 'SUPPLIED BY/DYNON SON & CO/SYDNEY/ MELBOURNE/ Royal Worcester' and trademark stamped on back. 'WELD CLUB PERTH' painted over in black to obscure writing. Outer edge on back of plate painted pale green to the edge of a narrow foot. 'W 1220' in small print, painted in red. Plate has been mended with staples and glue.
