SAUCER, octagonal, gilded edge, handpainted with Hemiandra pungens by May Clarke

SAUCER: pentagonal with slight leaf shaped relief, handpainted against a pale aqua background, with purple Hemiandra pungens and delicate spidery green foliage. Edge is gilded. The back is also pale aqua. Within the foot, 'M. Clarke/1919 WA.' is painted in red. A gold manufacturer's stamp 'PARAGON/Daisy/FINE BONE CHINA/MADE IN ENGLAND' and a number is stamped.
