DOCUMENT, one page paper, handwritten and illustrated. ‘MONTE DINKUM DAILY NEWS/ By a Poet Corporal'. Four drawings and three columns newspaper style. Describes ironically 'WAR NEWS' of ANZAC soldiers ( in Gallipoli). Refers to 'hard biscuits', 'physical jerks', 'canteen Beer', 'Kaiser Bill' and a drawing of 'Our kernal Tip' (sic) . A lyric is included 'Kaiser Bill went up the hill/ To watch the blooming slaughter/Bill fell down & broke his crown/And so the B. (blighter? bugger?) ought to' The price of the paper is '2 pints'. The back of the Daily Mail has a handwritten note in ink 'got out by a /way?. Please send on to /mother'. Possibly written by Frank Anderson 1915.
