ORDER OF SERVICE, ANZAC DAY MEMORIAL 1945
H1994.143
Order of service organised by the Bayswater branch of the R.S.L. to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli on 25th April, 1915. The order of service is printed on somewhat speckled paper, now yellowed, possibly war-time issue. The paper is folded vertically to produce a four page document. The insciption notes that the service, held in 1945, included two minutes' silence, three hymns (including 'Lest We Forget', 'Lead Kindly Light' and 'O God, Our Help in Ages Past') and the national Song ('Land of Hope and Glory'). The two inside pages of the document provide the words to the hymns, as well as two verses of the National Anthem. The rear page of the document features a line drawing of the war memorial in King's Park and a quote from John Masefield.
