50TH ANNIVERSARY CERTIFICATE WWII, James Joseph

H1998.61

Framed certificate commemorating service in the Second World War. The document is printed on mottled paper and bears signatures of the Prime Minister, Minister for Veterans Affairs and a Federal M.P., at its base. Above this is a roundel depicting a man being greeted by his family (sepia photograph). This encircled by a green ring printed with 'Australia Remembers' and a banner at base printed with '1945-95'. Above this is text expressing thanks to the recipient for his war service, surmounted by the Australian Coat of Arms. The border of the certificate is marked by a fancy trim in gold and green. The document is framed by a grey matt board, glass and a wooden frame painted green. The reverse has a string for hanging.
