Next of Kin Badge (Official female relatives’ badge). Horizontal oval ring, silver with blue enamel fill, surrounds voided silver letters ‘AIF’. Silver lettering in ring: ‘ISSUED BY DEPT OF DEFENCE * TO WOMEN OF AUSTRALIA *’. Scroll sits below oval, silver with blue enamel fill. Silver lettering on scroll: ‘FOR DUTY DONE’. Medal surmounted with voided King’s crown. Hinged horizontal pin on reverse, with ‘88674’ and ‘STOKES & SONS/ MELB/ STC SIL’ stamped. Blue enamel has come off considerably in oval ring and in scroll.
