Oval shaped badge with raised silver finish rim. Dark blue enamel border around outside edge of badge with text 'MERCEDES COLLEGE/ SISTERS OF MERCY'. Olive green enamel background in centre with dark blue enamel curved letter 'M' in top half and text '1831-1981/ 150/ YEARS' in bottom half. Reverse: textured silver finish, text 'SHERIDAN/ PERTH' running sideways above and below brooch fixing with no pin or catch attached. Pale blue paint present around fixing and along top left edge.
