COIN, 1 Mark, ceramic, broken

H2008.235.1-2

Round, broken, red-brown, ceramic, clay (?), 1 Mark, coin. Obverse/Heads: Legend reads 'STADT/BiTTERFELD/1921' ([1] & [2] split diagonally through 'E' of 'FELD', and between the '2' and '1' of '1921'). Small, six-point star motif, either side of '1921'. Raised rim, decorated edge, eith raised dot design top and bottom of plain edged centre. Reverse/Tails: Turreted, with one window, one door and pointed roof with flag staff, and stonework base tower motif. Flanked by two shields; proper left is half striped and half floral (?) design, proper right is three boats (?)/ semi cicle design. Below shields; '1' (proper left) and 'M' (proper right), with crossed hammer motifs at bottom, centre. Raised rim. ([1] & [2] split between left shield and '1', through left hammer).
