COUNTER, cricket, 8 ball over, steel, ‘COUNTABALL’

H2007.97

Round steel 'Countaball' cricket ball counter. Has a 10mm diameter circle cut out on the face, through which the numbers 1-8 can be read. Each number is printed in black on a thin strip of white plastic(?), which only fills the centre of the circle. A thin metal lever with a brass(?) top and ring is attached through a slit at the top of the counter. This changes the number when pressed. In the middle of the counter face is a circular indentation with a small screw in its centre. The back of the counter has some corrosion along one side, and is worn around the edges.
