STANDARD MEASURES, 40 FL.OZ TO 1 FL.DR., IN CASE
H1995.1472.1-23
Standard gunmetal measures, ranging from 40Fl.Oz. to 1 Fl.Dr. (12 in all). The measures are cylindrical, with no handles. Each measure is stamped on the front eg. H.1995.1472.2 '40 Fl.Oz.'.
The measures sit in felt lined (green) compartments at the bottom of the case. The corresponding glass levelling plates have their own wooden compartments, behind the measures.
On the top lid of the case, a metal label, located in the centre reads 'Standard Measures/ 40 Fl.Oz. to 1 Fl.Dr./ W & T. AVERY LTD/ BIRMINGHAM.'
On each end of the case there are metal handles.
