STRAIN GAUGE EQUIPMENT

Equipment for measuring tensile or compressive forces, torque or bending stresses (both static and dynamic). The equipment consists of: measuring bridge (1) in hinged wooden box (2), label sticky taped to side with instruction booklet (3); a switch box (4) in wooden box with hinged lid (5) and instruction booklet (6); strain gauge leads (7-10); strain gauges in packets (11-16) with directions for use (17); strain gauges box with lid (19-20); instruction issued by the (predecessor of) Water Authority - use of 'STRAIN GAUGE EQUIPMENT' (21); booklet 'THEORY AND PRACTICE/ OF/ STRAIN GAUGES'. An inverter which would complete the equipment set was not donated (could not be found). It was made by Glenradio, not Phillips.
