TALCUM POWDER

H1995.1257

A pink coloured opaque glass, patterned on either side in a shell like pattern. In the circle appears TALCUM/ DUBARRY in curvy writing. Close to the top of the bottle is another label, an oblong half present sticker reading OF A ROSE. Both labels are brown with gold writing and gold outline and both are imprinted and stuck into grooves in the bottle. The bottle has a small concave and convex affect, being wider at the top and bottom and less thick in the middle. The bottom of the bottle displays some raised writing: 5415/ REGD No 755481'. The bottle is about 2/3 full of white talcum powder. There is a small grating covering the top opening of the bottle made of weaved fine metal. The screw on the lid contains a yellow round cloth, the size of the lid with a round indentation where some white powder lies.
