PIPE CLEANERS

Rectangular lightweight cardboard packet with one end open containing 14 pipe cleaners. Packet has background colour of pale yellow with darker yellow border and print in black and red. Both sides show the United States Tobacco Co. logo at each end of the pack 'UST' overlaid in white inside a red diamond shape. One side of the pack carries text: 'DILLS PIPE/ CLEANERS ARE BEING USED FOR MANY PURPOSES OTHER THAN/ IN THE PIPES OF SMOKERS, SUCH AS CLEANING LABORATORY GLASSWARE/ GAS STOVE BURNERS/ ELECTRIC RAZORS/ RADIOS/ AND ALSO FOR - HAIR CURLING/ OILING GUNS/ OILING MACHINES/ HAVE YOU FOUND ANY OTHER USES?'. The other side reads 'DILLS PIPE CLEANERS/ FREE FROM LOOSE LINT/ STERILIZED/ EVENLY WOUND/ FULL BODIED/ HIGHLY ABSORBENT/ STRONG AND PLIABLE/ BY THE MAKERS OF 'DILLS BEST' TOBACCO/ CELEBRATED FOR ITS SMOKING QUALITIES'. The pipe cleaners in the pack are of different thicknesses but it is not known whether this is how they come or whether they are from different sources.
