Saddle is complete. Flaps marked C.G.H.F./ Broad arrow'. D broad arrow D' which stand for Commonwealth Government Harness Factory and Defence Department respectively.
Girth: complete marked 'D broad arrow D' and 'U'.
Surcingle: complete - appears to be a replica.
Stirrup Leathers: complete - appears to be a replica.
Stirrups: Both marked '1915 BROAD ARROW STEEL/ H V MCKAY AUSTRALIA'.

a. Saddle Wallets - marked 'CGHF broad arrow/ AUSTRALIA' and on top of connecting band 'WX 2607', the number of the original 10th Light Horse owner in World War Two, also 'D ^ D'.
b. Horseshoe Case: and sword frog, marked '1916' on body and 'WM/ 'STRLI' '1916' on attachment strap. WALTHER &/ STEVENSON LTD/ 1916'.
3 straps attached to rear arch (cantle) are marked
- 2 'PRICHARD/ PRESTON/ 1915' and 1 'J ANDERSON/ COOKSTOWN/ 1915'.
The yellow felt NUMNAH panels are modern replicas of the originals. Other marks and numbers exist on the saddle frame etc., but cannot be seen without completely disassembling the saddle.
c. Headstall: No marks readily visible.
d. Bridle: Leather not marked? Bit marked 'J DEWSBURY & SON LTD/ 1918' 'broad arrow/ 8' 'STEEL'.
e. Bucket, Rifle: very faint marks and numbers.

The above items A - E normally form part of a complete troopers kit and are thus numbered with the saddle.
