Coloured slide advertising G. Grasso and Sons grocery business. 'G. GRASSO & SONS / No.143 / BROWN ST. / EAST PERTH W.A. / QUALITY MACARONI from 9/- Case / UNBEATABLE OLIVE OIL from 10/6 Gall / TOBACCO & CIGARETTES / FOR ALL SMOKERS / CONFECTIONERY & COOL DRINKS / QUALITY SALAMI etc. / ORDERS CALLED FOR / & DELIVERED / THE CHEAPEST IN WEST. AUSTRALIA (with pictures of various types of pasta and salami)' Although the shop was called G. Grasso & Sons it was run by Guiseppe's wife, Francesca. (See H91.0075 for family biography and history) The slide was shown at the Crystal Theatre in (at least) the mid 1940s. The Crystal Theatre was on the south west corner of Hill and Wittenoom Streets, East Perth. It later became known as the Albion Theatre. The slide is in its original box.
