CUP, Child's
H1990.344
Pale blue enamelled cup with a broad band of gold around the inner rim and a fine band on the outside. Object is tea-cup shaped and has a single handle. The outside is decorated with a design featuring 3 white geese, 2 of which are leaning toward 2 young girls, 1 of whom is running away. Both girls are wearing hats and coats and long dresses. The colouring on the coat is clear and bright, the design reminiscent of Kate Greenaway or Mabel Lucy Atwell.
