a) Front illustration shows a soldier in full-uniform dreaming of his sweetheart who is pictured in the upper left corner. At the bottom of the picture is printed "THERE'S A LONG LONG TRAIL (3) / All night long I hear you calling, calling sweet and low, / seem to hear your footsteps falling ev'rywhere I go; / Tho' the road between us stretches many a weary mile, / Somehow I forget that you're not with me yet / when I think I see you smile". Printed in England by Bamforth & Co. Nothing written on back. b) Illustration shows two sailors shaking hands, with the American & Australian flags above them and "Welcome to Australia" below them. A Christmas card from C.G. to Alfie Mincham. c) Cartoon sketch showing two women on the left and a soldier walking past on the right, the caption "That's one of them Australian's Mrs Kelly, Zambuks, they calls 'em", with "Just so!" written in ink after it. From Ida Fleming to Sylvia Mincham. d) Illustration shows in upper left corner a black swan, Australian flag & bottle brushes and a ribbon to the right reading "FOND GREETINGS / FROM HOME". Lower left corner shows a bushman's hut verse in lower right corner "There came a cry which thrilled / your manly heart, / Come on! Come on! Australia / Come on! and take your part / And forth you went, and left the / dear old home, / To fight the stubborn foe, far / across the foam. / We miss you, Dear, long for the / day of peace, / And pray for your safe return when / battles cease". Written in pencil on reverse "To Miss Mincham / From Mabel". Printed in Australia. e) Illustration in sepia tonings shows a beautiful woman stroking the head of an eagle. In upper right corner "Australia / Welcomes / America". A Christmas card to Sylvia Mincham.
