$4.25 note with similar colouring to pre 1994 $5 note. Front shows cartoon drawing of Members of the Liberal party. ie. John Hewson, Alston, Howard, Fischer, Reith, Dr. Woods and McLachlan. Reads 'VOTE LABOR FOR THE/ LIGHT ON THE HILL/ NOT/ DOCTOR HEWSON AND/ THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL.'. In smaller writing '(APOLOGIES TO 20TH CENTURY FOX AND GREGORY PECK)'. Below cartoons in white lettering reads 'THE CHOICE WHICH DECIDES YOUR FUTURE' and 'THIS NOTE IS AS PHONY AS THE FIGHTBACK PACKAGE' (in black ).
Reverse - Top corners read '4.25'.
Right hand side reads 'LIBERAL'S NEW PRICE LIST' and increase in prices of basic groceries.
Middle - various vegetables are drawn.
Left - question mark in the middle of which is written 'THE/ HIDDEN/ QUESTIONS OF/ THE GOODS/ AND SERVICES/ TAX....'.
Bottom left - 'YOU CAN ONLY AFFORD TO VOTE LABOR'. Below in small black print reads 'PRINTED AND AUTHORISED BY WAL PRITCHARD, SEAMEN'S UNION OF AUSTRALIA'.
Right bottom corner - white, cut by dotted line along which reads 'HEWSON CUTS ACROSS THE BUDGET LINE' and '15% LOSS/ OF YOUR/ MONEY'.
