Certificate: "Hibernian Australasian Catholic Benefit Society / Registered according to Law / This is to certify that / Brother John Finnegan Jnr- / filled the Office of President in the Help of Christians / Branch, No. 880 from the 15th day of February / to the 22nd day of November / 1938 and that he has been duly enrolled as the Past President of the / Society. / As Witness our Hands this Sixteenth day of / December in the year A.D. 1941 / W. Ramsay President / W.G. Wooltorton Vice President / J.M. Egan Secretary". The colourful border around it has 6 yellow framed medallions each containing an illustration (from centre top clockwise): 1. An Irish wolfhound and harp, a Celtic cross with the Australian coat of arms to the right. The cross sits atop a half globe of the world which has " FAITH HOPE CHARITY" contained in the red ribbon across the top, and beneath it quotation marks "H.A.C.B.S" 2. St. Patrick banishing the snakes from Ireland. 3. The Good Samaritan (under which reads "CHARITY"). 4. The Apostles and Christ in a boat caught in a storm (above it reads "HOPE".) 5. Abraham about to sacrifice Isaac (under which is written "FAITH"). 6. St Peter holding the key to heaven. Also contained in the border are the native flowers and crest for each Australian State and for New Zealand.
