3 hinged bars at bottom rectangular in shape with leaf pattern. Each bar has a number on the back, 8756, 8755, 8754. Crown on top connected to circular area painted blue with words: "ISSUED BY DEPT OF DEFENCE / TO WOMEN OF AUSTRALIA / FOR DUTY DONE". Initials in decorative lettering in circular area AJG? On back of badge is pin attachment and words "STGSIL / WM McCLEAN & CO / MELB" and NO 23034. Attached to crown is a length of chain with a safety pin attached.
