White satin shoes, pointed toe, waisted heel; stamped on sole "4" and "MADE IN AUSTRALIA".

Information supplied by June swann, world authority on historic shoes visiting form UK, during her inspection of shoe collection 18th October 1993.
Seam: went back to c. 1490s. A bad spot due to stress. Lining must help endure stress here.
Condition: very strained. Made in one piece, with back seam. Yellowish leather lining and sock. Squarish throat. No trim. Quarter lining continued around throat. Suede sole. Well worn. Machine stitched. Extra row on stitching to reinforce back seam. Stitched through lining - both unusual features. Left foot - wearer had bunion problem - has split at bunion.
