Embroidered mat; Islamic, possibly south central Asia/Caucasus; unbleached linen, coarse tabby weave; 2 bands of needleweaving at edge, enclosing Mogul-style flowers; 4 square motifs with labyrinth design, at corners; another in the centre flanked on 2 sides by mihrabs; row of 3 mihrabs on 2 longer sides; scattered flowers, poppies and birds between.
