White, strong cotton. Square neck, with crochet trim. Bodice gathered onto neckband and yoke effect at shoulders. Feather stitch at shoulder, waist. Long sleeves, piped at shoulder and made to turn back at cuff. Trimmed with crochet. Fastens with drawtapes at neck and waist. Long skirt, gathered (handstroked) onto waistband. Plain. All hand sewn, with tiny stitches. Matches CH80.482. Reference: Buck & Cunnington, CHILDREN'S COSTUME IN ENGLAND, pages 154-5. Previous National Trust registration no. 1002 (?).
